Last year, there were only 4 applicants across the entire state. The Mighty 10th should be able to come up with several!
Applicants can come from any military branch and are certainly not limited to the National Guard. Posts can recommend service members that drill/train in their location but live in another part of the state. Posts can also recommend service members that live in their area but train in another part of the state -- so reach out to your communities for recommendations!
Service members recommended for the award may be eligible to receive points toward promotion.
Encourage the enlisted person's leadership to complete the paperwork as it helps care for the service member. Let's help our hardworking service members get the recognition and support they deserve!
Award packets are due to me No Later Than 31 May 2025.
