Outside of the American Legion is a vast number of organizations who specialize in helping Veterans dealing with financial trouble, PTSD and emotional support, and those that provide a wide variety of programs to help you heal. You will find links below to organizations here in Minnesota and beyond to assist you. Thank you for your service to our country.

Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund

Veterans, families of deployed service members, and surviving minor children are eligible to apply for the grant.

Minnesota Military Families Foundation

Military families get financial assistance by contacting one of the federally-funded Soldier and Family Readiness Centers at 14 locations around the state.

Hometown Hero Outdoors

The mission is to give back to the men and women who serve our nation and community without any intention of receiving anything in return. This includes first responders, veterans, and those currently serving in the military.

Gaits of Hope Equine Therapy

Offers Military Veterans a therapeutic experience with horses, guiding them through a process to address trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and triggers, resulting in a 70% reduction in challenges like depression, substance abuse, isolation, guilt, and suicidal thoughts, while offering relaxation and transformative insights.

Our Heroes Tour's mission is to provide opportunities for past and present First Responders, Military, and their families, to engage in unique experiences while providing time to live, laugh, and love together.
