Greetings Mighty 10th.
How are you? [Gaclie] “Ciamar a tha sibh? I hope you are exceptional. Thanksgiving, Indigenous Peoples Day. It is a time for gathering together enjoying our families, friends, and neighbors. Sharing a great meal, and conversation. A time to slow down for one day and look at all you the things you have to be thankful for. To take stock, enjoy the fruits of your labor, your family, friends, and neighbors.
Remember, if you have a special event you want to share with the district, please send the information to your district media chair at Buffalo Post 270 and or to your district adjutant at Fridley Post 303. You can also send them to me at Post 567, and I will ensure they get passed along to them.
I know everyone talks about membership; the reason is that it is so important to all organizations. Our members are our life blood. Our membership is what has started, supported, changed, built, and maintained this organization for so many years. Individuals from all over the Nation, the State, City and Community, every post is a part of this great organization. Your voices are heard loud and clear by the representatives you send to district, state and national conventions and conferences. Whenever anyone visits your post or meeting. Remember “People do not always remember what you told them, they remember how you made them feel.” All veterans, and their families are the new members of the Legion, Auxiliary, SAL and the ALR. They are the ones that are going to continue the work you have started way in to the further and keep this organization strong. “Old ways don’t open new doors.”

Membership
Hello Mighty Tenth District:
Our membership as a District is doing well at present, we are at 5065 of our goal of 6846 putting the District at 74% of goal overall. The next National goal of 75% is on December 15th and I’m confident we can make it; we only need 54 members District wide to accomplish that goal. There are three posts at 100% or better with Clearwater Post 323 winning my Veterans Day challenge for first post to reach 100% by Veterans Day with a 108% goal. They will receive their award and $100 at District Convention in June 6.
The Tenth District is in 5th place in the Department Premier Race. I hope we can move up further during the year with the help of all the post membership teams we can. Again, thank you to all the Post for their hard work on membership and all of the other programs of the American Legion and help within their communities.
As always, your District officers are here to assist you with any questions or help you may need on membership or program related questions. From my family to yours have a fantastic Thanksgiving Day celebration and safe travels.

As we approach this Holiday Season many families are struggling to make ends meet. Now is a very important time to remember the local food shelves, churches and community centers in need of donations.
Our brave men and women serve and sacrifice for each and every one of us. Let us give thanks for what we have and share our blessings with those less fortunate. No one in our great country should go to bed hungry. Thanksgiving and Christmas should be a time of joy and peace.
Keep us, O Lord, grateful as a nation for the blessings that are ours. Preserve in our hearts the appreciation of Your gifts that inspired our forefathers to set aside a special day of Thanksgiving, and may we ever be mindful of Your goodness and kindness. Keep our soldiers safe and return them safely.
Amen.

Hello SAL Members and Legion Family
Hope all is well with everyone, it sure has been a nice fall so far. Hope some of you have had better luck deer hunting than I have. Been a slow hunt this year.
It's been busy with all the Veterans Day Dinners and Ceremonies in November. I had the pleasure of going to Fridley and Mound for Dinners. Jason Voss took my place for the Anoka dinner. Thank you for the invites.
We are having the District Christmas Party on December 13th at the Maple Lake Legion. This will start at 1100 hrs. There will be Brunch, Gift Exchange and Festive Treats. Hope to have a great turnout.
We have Mid-Winter in Anoka coming on January 17th with the joint session starting at 0900 hrs then our meeting starting at 1300 hrs. Tom Lyons from the MN Veterans Pantry will be the guest speaker at the joint session.
February 21st is the Sweetheart Dinner at Lino Lakes. Social hour at 1100 hrs. Dinner at noon with a short program to follow. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. And thank you the Lino Lakes Squadron for hosting this.
I see the Memberships are still coming in. We have 2 Squadrons at 100%-Onamia and Bloomington. Brooklyn Center is at 106%. We still have 2 Squadrons at the goose egg yet. Let's see what we can do to get off the goose egg.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
Take care and keep our Military and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this Holiday Season.

Holiday greetings from everyone in the Mighty Tenth District American Legion Riders!
Motorcycle season is coming to a close, and its been a truly blessed year. There were a record number of charity motorcycle events hosted by the Riders this season, and I wanted to thank everyone that worked so diligently to make them happen. I also wanted to thank everyone that came out to Hopkins for the Sully Benefit. We shared a lot of smiles and laughs, and raised a few bucks for the family.
We are in the planning stages of ALR Riding Season 2026, so stay tuned. Our next District Riders meeting will be held at the Tenth District Mid-Winter conference. We will be at the Anoka Legion on January 17th at 3pm. We've just finalized March 7th, 2026 as the date for the Tenth District Chili Cookoff at the Hopkins Legion. Stay tuned for more on that!
Well, that's all I’ve got for this round. I’m very thankful for our veterans this Thanksgiving, and I hope you are too! As anyways, I can always be reached at mtberen@yahoo.com or 763-203-5285.
