Hello American Legion Auxiliary!!
Already October it’s crazy how time flies right by!
I wanted to talk a little bit about getting juniors involved. This is part of the Auxiliary. Please reach out to your members to see if they have children or grandchildren that are eligible for the juniors. It’s an amazing program. It teaches these young ladies about our programs and has great benefits. And there is always fun along the way.
Recently I had set up a Fun Day for junior members and young SAL members in Anoka. Unfortunately there wasn’t many that showed up; only one junior member. We still did the service project. We packed bags full of toiletries for the St. Cloud Stand Down that I will bring to Fall Conference.
I was asked before who we send the District President Project donations to. If you are donating to either of my projects please send checks to the District Treasurer Lorinda made out to the District and please ear mark which project you would like to donate to.
My projects are raising money for the Gift Shop program and raising money for the Veterans Food Pantry. I also have special project to revitalize the Junior Program within the 10th District. We used to have a very large junior group within the district. And I would love to see that happen again!
Please feel free to invite me to any of your events or meetings you have going on. I love meeting members within the district.
