Wow has time really flown by this year!

I know lots of you were busy the last couple of weeks getting those reports done and sent off. Thank you to all of you for your hard work and dedication this year.

Since I last wrote I was able to attend the Coon Rapids Auxiliary Fashion Show. Amazing show and silent auction. It was great to see so many people there.

That same night we also had the 10th District Family Testimonial Dinner at the Anoka American Legion. Thank you to the Anoka American Legion Family for hosting this and setting up a fantastic dinner. It was a bittersweet celebration. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I even got Dan (my other half for those that do not know) to attend. It was an amazing night with amazing people. Thank you to all who attended! (I’m not crying you’re crying.)

I had the privilege of meeting National Commander Dan Wiley at the Clearwater American Legion for dinner. It was great to see a packed house almost! Thank you to the Clearwater American Legion Family for hosting the dinner. It was great! Commander Dan was a wonderful speaker as well.

I also got to attend the the Wayzata Unit Spring Gala. And thank you for the awesome experience of mc’ing the live auction with Wayzata Post Commander. It was so fun!!

I was also able to attend the North Branch Unit Mothers Day Dinner. They also invite units from around the area as well. It was nice to catch up with Michelle and Shirley again (Presidents of North Branch and Harris units.) It was such a quaint dinner. It really renewed my spirit. And those members are so devoted to veterans and their communities.

I wanted to take a moment because I haven’t really talked about it much in newsletters lately. The projects this year are: raise money for MN Veterans Pantry and Gift Shop Program. Theses are two great things for our Veterans. I also had another special project was to revitalize the Junior Program within the 10th District. We did hit a few bumps along the way with this one but I think we have some great ideas on how to move forward and I look forward to seeing it evolve.

As the Auxiliary year is winding down I wanted to let you know how much this year has meant to me. It was amazing that you entrusted me to represent you as 10th District President again. And I hope that have inspired members that have not been chairmen or officers to become one.

In just two weeks we have District Convention. I hope everyone is planning on attending. It is going to be a great time.
