Happy Spring (hopefully) American Legion Family!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
Hopefully your units have or are filling out your Annual Reports and Unit Impact Reports. Remember that your Annual Reports go to the 10th District Chairmen and your Unit Impact Reports come to me. Remember to write a narrative with your annual reports so that your unit can be considered for the 10th District Trophy and Awards.
I am excited to see what all the wonderful unit’s in the 10th District have done this year. And hope that those that attended the zoom meetings from Department found them very helpful.
REMINDER TO DISTRICT CHAIRMEN: PLEASE SEND YOUR DISTRICT ANNUAL REPORTS TO THE DEPARTMENT CHAIRMEN. ALSO HAVE YOUR ARTICLE FOR THE BOOK OF ANNUAL REPORTS AND AWARD WINNERS TO SECRETARY CAROL AND MYSELF BY MAY 10TH.
In March I attended the 10th District Legion Riders Rally at Hopkins American Legion. It was great to hear and learn about Time On The Water. Sounds like a great organization. They take veterans and first responders fishing in Canada. Thank you to the Hopkins American Legion Family for hosting. It was a great afternoon.
This past weekend I attended the Department Honorary Junior Conference in Stewartville. Those juniors sure know how to have fun. I know that Laura, my daughter, had a blast! Congratulations on a successful year to past honorary junior officers and to the newly elected honorary junior officers!
There are a lot of events coming up that I hope to see everyone at. This weekend is the American Legion Family Leadership Testimonial Dinner at the Anoka American Legion. Next week we have the National Commander’s Dinner at the Clearwater American Legion on April 21st. To make reservations call the Clearwater American Legion. I believe they are still taking reservations.
If you haven’t already, please send in your registration for District Convention on May 29th-30th at the Buffalo American Legion.
