10th District

There’s a lot going on in the Mighty 1th District in March!

Suicide Prevention Training

The 10th District Commander’s Trophy Competition is back this year and will be at Bill’s Gun Shop in Robbinsdale, March 15th at noon. Golden Valley Commander Craig Hartman and Past 10th District Commander Matt Berens are already trash talking about who will win this year’s competition. Both are amazing shots, so let’s see who comes out on top!

We have a VA S.A.V.E. training March 19 at the Wayzata American Legion Post. Come at 5:30 p.m. for socializing and light appetizers, and we will get started with the training at 6 p.m. It is expected to last 90 minutes. We are supporting the national Be The One mission by training our members how to react to a suicidal crisis. Check out our Facebook invite, https://www.facebook.com/share/167GLfnp5o/ for the link to RSVP, or just email me directly Kristy.janigo@gmail.com

The 10th District American Legion Family Chili Cook-Off will be held March 23 at the Hopkins American Legion Post from noon to 3 p.m. The entry fee for competitors is $10, and it will be $15 for members of the public for tasting. This event is open to all members and guests!

Our American Legion Department of Minnesota has wrapped another successful Washington Conference trip. Thank you to everyone who traveled with me to D.C. Shout out to Tom Schottenbauer for traveling with me three years in a row!

In service,

10th District Commander Kristy Janigo
